Director William Pratt

Mr. William Pratt, a native of Eleuthera, Bahamas, and an alumnus of Bannerman Town All Age School and R. M. Bailey High, embarked on his distinguished career with the Immigration Department on September 1, 1975. Throughout the years, he showcased remarkable dedication and expertise, steadily ascending through the organizational hierarchy until his notable appointment as Director on January 13, 2013. In March 2018, Mr. Pratt was redeployed to the Ministry of Labour, where he assumed the pivotal role of Senior Under Secretary. His illustrious career in the public service reached its pinnacle with his retirement on December 16, 2021.

Director Pratt is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, exemplifying a well-rounded personal life. Beyond his professional commitments, he serves as a Pastor at the Apostolic House of Prayer Ministries. Director Pratt’s academic achievements include the attainment of a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and leadership development..
