7 HAITIAN NATIONALS TO BE CHARGED IN MARSH HARBOUR, ABACO WITH ILLEGAL ENTRY
(7) Haitian nationals are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate’s Court at Marsh Harbour, Abaco sometime this morning to answer charges of Illegal Entry.
The (7) were a part of a group of (11) Haitian nationals comprising of (7) men and (4) women apprehended on Wednesday, 23rd January 2019 during an operation dubbed ‘Rugged Road’ at Hope Town, Abaco. The Enforcement team of the Abaco District headed by Senior Immigration Officer Vasco Johnson was assisted by Officers of the RBPF and RBDF in this joint effort.
Several shanty towns in the Hope Town area was searched. Upon further processing it was determined that (4) persons had legal status and were subsequently released.
