DEPARTMENT OF IMMIGRATION ATTENDED THE ROYAL BAHAMAS POLICE FORCE’S GRAND BAHAMA AND NORTHERN BAHAMAS DISTRICT ANNUAL CHURCH SERVICE AND PARADE
The church service was held on Sunday, 13th January, 2019 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, Clive
Avenue at 3:00 p.m. Director of Immigration Clarence A. Russell and his New Providence team that
consisted of Superintendent Peter Joseph, Senior Immigration Officer Vonetta Darling-Flowers, Grade II Officer Anwah Deveaux and Trainee Officer Braddesha Lloyd arrived in the second city, Freeport, Grand Bahama to support our fellow law enforcement agency as they embarked upon the new year with wisdom and integrity.
In attendance were Deputy Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas The Honorable Peter
Turnquest and Mrs. Turnquest, Minister of National Security, The Honorable Marvin H. Dames, Senator and the Minister of State for Grand Bahama, The Honorable Kwasi M. Thompson and Mrs. Thompson, Commissioner of Police, Anthony J. Ferguson among other dignitaries and members of the Grand Bahama Christian Council. Host pastor Rev. Dr. Robert Lockhart delivered the sermon, charging officers to remain integral.
Immigration’s Grand Bahama team headed by Assistant Director Hubert. E. Ferguson and Superintendent Garnett Rolle along with the New Providence team assembled at the Central Police Station, Gerald Bartlett Complex at 2:00 p.m. in preparation for the parade to the church.
