Celebrating 60 Years of Women in Policing Signature Breakfast at the Paul Farquharson Center
The Department of Immigration proudly participated in the Signature Breakfast in Honor of 60 Years of Women in Policing, hosted by the Royal Bahamas Police Force on November 27, 2024, at the Paul Farquharson Center. This milestone event brought together representatives from numerous law enforcement organizations to celebrate the incredible contributions of women in policing over the past six decades.
Representing the Department of Immigration at this historic occasion were Chief Immigration Officer Ursula Oliver and Senior Immigration Officer Daina Burrows. Their presence highlighted the department’s commitment to recognizing and supporting the pivotal role of women in shaping the law enforcement landscape of The Bahamas.
The event featured insightful reflections on the progress of women in the field, a showcase of achievements, and a celebration of the trailblazers who paved the way for future generations.
