Continued Training & Education for Immigration Officers at the Border Program.
During the month of September 2019, The Bahamas Immigration Department, Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) Unit, commenced its “Continued Training & Education for Immigration Officers at the Border Program.”
Met with enthusiasm and an outstanding attendance rate, the program covers everything from soft skills, professionalism, Department’s processes and other security training just to name a few. The training is intended to better equip officers in the execution of their daily duties as borders officers and will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
The introduction of this type of training speaks to the aspect of the Department’s vision that is mandated to provide necessary training for administrators, officers and clerical staff by conducting in-house workshops and seminars.
