Department of Immigration Celebrates the Graduation of National Youth Guard Cohort III
Under the patronage of the Honourable Philip Davis, K.C., M.P., Prime Minister, the Ministry of National Security hosted the Graduation Ceremony for the Bahamas National Youth Guard Cohort III on November 4, 2024, at Baha Mar resort, New Providence. The event was attended by several law enforcement agencies and distinguished individuals, including Immigration Officers Nadia Balfour, Ashley Collie, and Jada Cleare, who represented the Immigration Department at this momentous occasion.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone as the Cadets of Cohort III officially graduated to become National Youth Guards. Trainee Immigration Officer Jada Cleare delivered an inspiring speech that offered words of encouragement and congratulations to the graduates as they began their new roles as official Youth Guards. In a powerful reference to the biblical story of Moses and Aaron, Officer Cleare reminded the graduates that they are not alone on their journey. “Like Aaron to Moses, we are holding your hands.”
