5 HAITIAN NATIONALS CONVICTED IN MAGISTRATE’S COURT
On April 10th, 2019 (6) Haitian nationals were arraigned before Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans in Magistrate’s Court #6. Of this group (5) were convicted of Illegal Landing and sentenced to (1) month at Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
Kerby Nelson, was remanded until April 17th, 2019 pending documentation. Subject claims to have been born in The Bahamas.
Officers Lashandawn Adderley and Shandeshia Marshall prosecuted these matters.
37 HAITIAN NATIONALS CONVICTED IN INAGUA TODAY FOR ILLEGAL LANDING
This group, inclusive of (30) Males and (7) Females were arraigned before Chief Magistrate JoyAnn Ferguson-Pratt in Magistrate’s Court at Matthew Town. They were convicted of Illegal Landing and ordered conditional discharge. Early deportation was recommended.
Chief Magistrate Joy-Ann Ferguson-Pratt along with a team of Immigration Officials arrived in Inagua this morning to for proceedings into this matter.
