Launch of Immigration Supervisory Workshop
On Tuesday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Department of Immigration successfully hosted its inaugural Supervisory Workshop for Grade I and Senior Immigration Officers from across New Providence, Abaco, Bimini, Eleuthera, Grand Bahama, and San Salvador.
The workshop featured a distinguished lineup of presenters who shared invaluable insights and expertise, including Mrs. Pamala Sears, Executive Officer, Human Resources & Training Officer – Ministry of National Insurance; Dr. Amanda Bethel, Director of Recruitment – Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute; Ms. Sigrid Bain, First Assistant Secretary – Ministry of Immigration and National Insurance; Mrs. Verna McIntosh-Bonaby, DTM, Assistant Director of Communication – Public Hospitals Authority; Dr. Royanne Morrison, Acting Director, Court Reporting Unit – Office of the Judiciary; Dr. Deann Johnson, Consultant & Training Officer; Inspector Timothy Bain, Royal Bahamas Police Force; and Commander Origin Deleveaux, Base Executive Officer – Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
