The Central Abaco District launched Public Service Week with a worship service on Sunday, November 3, at the Dundas Town Church of God, celebrating the dedication and hard work of public servants. This event marks the beginning of a week devoted to honoring the service and commitment of government employees who play a vital role in the functioning and success of our communities.

The delegation, led by Superintendent Harold Thurston, gathered to recognize nineteen (19) individuals for their outstanding contributions to their respective departments or ministries.

Among the celebrated honorees was Immigration Officer Grade II, Brittaney Whyte, who was named the Immigration Department’s Most Outstanding Employee for 2024. Officer Whyte’s commitment to excellence and her impactful work within the department have set a high standard and serve as an inspiration to her peers.
Public Service Week is a time for us all to acknowledge the tireless efforts of these individuals who work daily to improve our communities and serve our citizens with integrity and professionalism.
