The district of Eleuthera hosted it’s social event “Dinner After Dark”on Wednesday 13th February ,2019 at The Dunmore Beach Hotel on Harbour Island from 7:30 pm to 10:30pm.
A total of 14 officers were present: CIO Shemah Saunders-Darling, SIO Jennifer Kelly, IO’s Lutus Lubin, Shantavia Roberts, Shantor Bowe, Eric Sands, Rashede Taylor, Joshua Johnson, Shonelle Gibson, Deora Johnson, Antonio Clarke, Romell Andrews, Arnold Josey, Charmaine Smith,and 1 clerical staff Senior Clerk Novelette Andrews.
It was indeed a night of fine dining, camaraderie, and fun. This event also launched a series of activities to promote Immigration Awareness and celebrate the Department’s 80 years of existence. All staff received gift bags and certificates of recognition for services rendered. However 2 officers received extra special awards for going beyond the call of duty. They are Shantavia Roberts Employee of the year for North Eleuthera and Shantor Bowe Employee of the year for Central and South Eleuthera. This event boosted the morale of the staff and left them motivated.
Two custodial staff received their Certificates of Appreciation and gift bags. They are Mrs Jeroline Johnson of North Eleuthera and Mrs Claudia Davis of Governor’s Harbour.
